Samae Beach (หาดแสม) is one of Ko Lan’s main beaches, on the island’s western coast. It has a long sandy shoreline backed by food outlets and visitor services, with hills around the bay and a west-facing setting for late-afternoon views. It is a beach destination rather than the island’s main arrival pier. Restaurants and stalls along the beach sell food and drinks, and beach chairs are offered by local operators. Water activities are also advertised around the shore. Agree any chair, food or activity charge with the individual provider; these are separate services rather than an all-inclusive beach ticket. From a Ko Lan arrival pier, arrange onward island transport to Samae by name. Na Baan and Tawaen are different arrival points, so confirm your boat landing and return arrangements before crossing from Pattaya. Leave enough time to travel back across the island after a beach visit. Choose swimming conditions on the day and keep clear of boat and activity areas. A sunset visit needs its own return-transport plan; do not assume that a public beach’s access hours guarantee a late ferry, staffed facilities or water-sport availability.
